| The photo on this page is a picture of my father, David Clapp. He is a professional photographer and my first photography instructor. For my family, photography was what helped put food on the table and enabled us to live a comfortable life. This web site is dedicated to my father. Erik Clapp started his career at KXAS NBC 5 in Fort Worth, Texas as an Archivist and Associate Producer for legendary EMMY award winning entertainment reporter, Bobbie Wygant. After graduating from The University of Texas in Arlington in 1997 with a BA in Communications, Erik was hired as a Video Editor for Immotion Studios, an Ad agency in Fort Worth. Erik is now the Director of Video Services for Immotion Studios. Clapp is an ADDY award winning producer on hundreds of projects for TCU, Safe City, Petco, Firestone, Bass Performance Hall, and many other commercial and corporate clients just to name a few. Erik is also an accomplished filmmaker. He has written, produced, directed, and edited many short films and documentaries. He directed the 2004 feature film thriller, "Seventy-8" which premiered at the Hollywood Film Festival and won Best Digital Feature at the Berkeley Film Festival in 2005. Erik started the short film production company, Atombomb.tv to showcase not only his own films, but other films in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Erik also reunited with Bobbie Wygant to produce The Bobbie Wygant Archive, an online wonderland of current and restored stories and interviews with Actors, Directors, and Stage performers from the last 60 years of Bobbie's career with NBC. The site can be seen here at www.bobbiewygant.com and has been profiled in the New York Times, USA Today, and The Dallas Morning News. Erik also teaches DSLR Filmmaking at Texas Christian University (TCU). Erik also enjoys photography and is also an accomplished time-lapse photographer. You can see some of his photography on this site in the Images section. If you would like to contact Mr. Clapp for any work in film, video, or photography please email him at erikclapp@me.com. |
