| The photo on this page is a picture of my father, David Clapp. He is a professional photographer and my first photography instructor. For my family, photography was what helped put food on the table and enabled us to live a comfortable life. This web site is dedicated to my father. Erik Clapp started his career at KXAS NBC 5 in Fort Worth, Texas as an Archivist and Associate Producer for legendary EMMY award winning entertainment reporter, Bobbie Wygant. After graduating from The University of Texas in Arlington in 1997 with a BA in Communications, Erik was hired as a Video Editor for Immotion Studios, an Advertising agency in Fort Worth. Erik served as the Director of Video Services for Immotion Studios from 1998-2013. Clapp is an ADDY award winning producer on hundreds of projects for TCU, Safe City, Petco, Firestone, Bass Performance Hall, State Farm, Nikon, W Hotels, and many other commercial and corporate clients. In 2013, a commercial for the Fort Worth Conventions and Visitors Bureau earned him a Gold ADDY award for best Cinematography. Erik is also an accomplished filmmaker. He has written, produced, directed, and edited many short films and documentaries. He directed the 2004 feature film thriller, "Seventy-8" which premiered at the Hollywood Film Festival and won Best Digital Feature at the Berkeley Film Festival in 2005. His 2011 short film, "The Fort" was a hugely succesfull film premiering at the Lone Star Film Festival. His ten part documentary series on the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra was also praised for it's originallity. Erik also reunited with Bobbie Wygant to produce The Bobbie Wygant Archive, an online wonderland of current and restored stories and interviews with Actors, Directors, and Stage performers from the last 60 plus years of Bobbie's career with NBC. The site has been profiled in the New York Times, USA Today, and The Dallas Morning News. Erik teaches DSLR Filmmaking at Texas Christian University (TCU) and enjoys photography and is also an accomplished time-lapse photographer.
